Worth a cheer

This clip excites me while it bums me out.

I've been to Desert Point before - twice! Each time chasing perfect waves similar to the one I'm showing you today. Neither time did I find anything close to resembling this.

So, while I watch this guy get shacked off his tree, I sigh deeply...

But he'll get no sympathy from me when he asks Santa for a new spine for Christmas...

Maybe it's an illusion, but I get the impression this wave is empty because that croc-like looking thing in the water is keeping it that way...

Shoulda stayed home...

This guy looks funnily unimpressed with what he's seeing in front of him.

I can imagine him, with that body language, scratching his head thinking to himself that he should have stayed home in bed.

I imagine more normal people would be deliriously sprinting up the beach dropping things behind them in a mad frenzy!

Secluded dreams

When I think about surfing with those close to me, and how I'd like the session to be, I rarely think about world class waves. Instead, I think about an intimate session on a fun, playful wave such as this.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this photo with two guys out in this beautiful location was: 'Damn! I'd love to share this with my mates!'

Until that moment, I'll just have to settle for crowded close-outs...
