In the water finally and the caravan park that was

So, on the third and last full day of my surf trip with Dad, I finally got into the water.

It wasn't great, but I'm glad I did it. One hour of fun and a couple of turns.

What has been a disappointment this trip, is the state of Marion Bay Caravan Park - a place me, my dad, my brother and friends have been coming to since 1993.

It has been an establishment on many of my Yorkes surf trips.

Over this period, we've seen the park's managers come and go. With them, over time, so has the care factor.

What was once a lush, bushy, pretty and proud place, it has now become something I don't rave about. It's bare, dirty and plain.

If you ever come down, make your trip for the surf, not the caravan park - otherwise you'll be disappointed.
