This photo seems to have been taken on a day where there surf looks peaceful... fun but peaceful. The shimmer on the glassy water, the seeming silence and the cloudless sky create an air of tranquillity.
For me it's the kind of session I'd love to share with my mates...
Wow! That is so glassy, I can't remember the last time I had a session that glassy, if ever at all? Maybe Indo, Echo's or the Mid, anyway I can't tell what the wave is doing down the line but it makes me just want to pull in and ride close outs! (maybe with a little "yeeeeeew" because they do sound better on glassy days)

DeleteI agree it's rare. But when you catch it, it changes the feeling in the water to something akin to peace...
In surfing, there are many 'lucky moments' to be had. Finding a great wave on a super glassy day is one of the 'luckiest moments' of all.
