A Hawaiian Adventure - Part 1

Late last year (2012), me and my now girlfriend Pamela travelled to Maui, Hawaii for a bit of a surf trip.

While there, we hung out and stayed with my now friends Terri and Derrek.

A righty coming through as we go home for the day.

Straight off the plane, we headed to Ho'okipa for a quick surf.

The peaks were shifting all the time. Still, you'd say there were two a-frame peaks over the reef.

Can you tell these first two photos were taken a split second apart on different cameras?

The locals were all over it though. No wave went to waste and you had to be on your toes not not be snaked or burnt at every opportunity. Unfortunately my nature meant that whenever I blinked, I found myself on the outside of the line...

You know I'm fresh off the plane because I'm as white as a ghost!

I had enough surfing for the day when I heard one surfer threaten to drown another over dropping in. A lame attitude that put me off totally.

Great grub on the way home.
