Before moving to the US a couple of weeks ago, I went on a final surf trip with Dad and a couple of friends to South Australia, Australia's Yorke Peninsula.

I've been going to 'Yorkes' with family and friends for over twenty years now. Unfortunately on this, my last trip for a while, I was met with the worst wind conditions I've experienced there.
This photo of me (left) and Chris (right) was taken by my friend Michael. We'd just hiked around twenty to thirty minutes through low scrub to what we thought was a secret spot. You can see the disappointment in our body language as we look down upon the break from the cliff top. Below greeted us a too high tide and two surfers that just shouldn't have been there (being a secret spot).
We trekked back very unsatisfied.
